About the project “Creation of a paid parking space in Astana, its operation and management”
Parking rate for the cars: 100 tenge per 1 hour of parking
Working hours: daily with 8:00 to 20:00
Time to make a payment: within the first 30 minutes of a parking session
Time to leave a parking lot: within 10 minutes after the parking session expires
Payment rules: the payment is made by any of the available payment methods

Penalty rate: non-payment for parking entails a penalty in the amount of 3 MCIs, and repeated violation committed during the year entails a penalty in the amount of 5 MCIs
Purpose of the Project Implementation
The project “Creation of a paid parking space in Astana, its operation and management” was implemented to unload the city's street and road network and to create comfortable conditions for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Main objectives of the project:
- reducing the number of parking rules violations on the street and road network;
- increasing the speed of all types of vehicles within the paid parking zones;
- increasing the repetition in use of parking lots;
- reducing the flows of private motor vehicles entering the paid parking zone and encouraging the use of public transport.
